
In the welcoming ambiance of the Ranch Le Montcel,
located at the 1,500M altitude of Belot, community of Kenscoff,
an informational seminar was held on from May 13-15 , 2005, on
a burning subject: the one of Haiti's endangerment issues, particularly
in Port-au-Prince.
This seminar was led by well-knowned professionals, currently
engaged in the fight against security risks; Mr. Himmler Rébu,M.
Carel Alexandre,M. Hervé Lebarbé,M. Mario Daguilh,M.
Ashley Laraque. A special guest took part in this meeting,
Mr. Reginald Delva, Counsel to the Ministry of Justice regarding
kidnapping and other matters of the police.
The debated themes during this seminar were:
- Global insecurity, individual and collective
- Measures to take to stablize our environment
- Precautions and actions to take against the
kidnapping
- Usefulness of having a dog remain in the vehicle
This last topic was presented by Ashley Laraque "Master
Dog" followed
by an attack demonstration with a German Shepherd.
The panelists also discussed at this informational meeting recommendations
regarding precautions for weapons in one's residence
and when carrying them.
- The practice of shooting with a rifle and with a gun was
demonstrated
The participants were able to benefit from
certain techniques and methods to face the growing precariousness
of the region.
